AI session notes: how clinicians stay in charge
The fear is understandable: if an AI writes the note, who is doing the thinking? Our answer is structural, not rhetorical — the product is built so the clinician cannot be bypassed.
Draft, never document
Propela transcribes the session and drafts a note in your chosen format. The draft is visibly marked as AI-generated, and it stays a draft until you approve it. Edits flip sections to "human-reviewed". The signature on the record is always yours.
Your modality, your language
A CBT session and a psychodynamic session should not produce the same note. Prompt templates per modality keep the clinical vocabulary right, and a "structure my rough notes" mode works without any recording at all.
Privacy by architecture
Recordings are encrypted in the browser before upload. Transcripts and notes live under row-level security. AI providers process your audio under agreements that exclude training on it. And nothing clinical ever lands in a log file.
AI is a brilliant junior assistant: fast, tireless, occasionally wrong. The chart belongs to the clinician.
